Summer is around the corner and we are ready for our annual summer boot camp! Our summer boot camp is a 12-week period where we as a family will try to change your perspective of fitness, nutrition and community. When you join our program, you become a part of our #FQFam. With our supportive, inspiring, and motivating community, you’ll have all you need to achieve greatness.

To us, this program is more than exercising and weight loss. It is about loving ourselves and being inspired by who we’re becoming. It is about understanding our behaviour towards food, developing a good relationship with food and not being swayed by trends. This all while creating a great bond with other Queens and being motivating by the #FQFam. We also have a maximum of 6 participants per group so we can make sure to give proper attention to our participants. This means that each time you will be properly guided and pushed

Q: I’ve never worked out before. Is this for me?

A: Most definitely. Everything can be modified to your fitness level. Our goal is to challenge you and to take you out of your comfort zone but you are always in charge of your workout. It is your body and you know yourself more than we do

Q: What can I expect from a workout session?

A: Our sessions will keep you moving for an hour, integrating a variety of exercises to stimulate your muscles and boost your metabolism. We always incorporate both upper and lower body muscle groups in order to tone, tighten, and build endurance. You will never become bored with repetitive exercises because each class will be different and challenging. The workouts are done in a dynamic group setting  which makes them fun, motivating, challenging AND it keeps the cost of working with a personal trainer affordable compared to private one-on-one sessions.


Q: What if the gym is not allowed to be opened by June due the the COVID-19 virus?

A: We have thought of that and we don’t want this program to stop. So we are doing an online version of it which is exciting for us. We have never done it before but as business owners we have to adapt and be creative. So this time it will be an online version. We will meet via Skype for live sessions. If we are allowed to open by June, we will come together, discuss it as a family and see if we will continue online or if we will meet at FQ House. It will all depend on what the group wants.


Q:  What can I expect from Skype sessions?

A: The workouts will be with minimal equipment. Using training methods such as HIIT (High Intensity Interval Cardio), body weight movements and plyometrics, we can have a varied and engaging fitness session. A few things are important though, such as a fitness mat, sweat towel, suitable shoes and clothing, a bottle of water, a Skype ready device, enough space to lay down on the floor or jump without touching any furniture, ceiling height enough to reach up without touching and a proper distance from the Skype camera so that you can see your feet and your head.

Don’t be fooled by the word “online”. Just because we aren’t physically there with you during your workouts that does not mean that you won’t get the same benefits and results as a face-to-face training


Q: What about the nutrition plan? What can I expect?

A: Our nutrition plans are based on the principles of intuitive eating by Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch. Intuitive eating is an eating style that promotes a healthy attitude toward food and body image. Read all about it here
