We have a strict plastic-free shipping policy. We ship everything 100% plastic-free in a box with paper wrapping and paper tape. ALL of our packaging comes in reusable glass bottles/jars. Our lip balm comes in kraft paper, push-up, 100% biodegradable tubes which are a great eco-friendly alternative to tubes made from petroleum-based plastics. Kraft paperboard is renewable, biodegradable, and recyclable. Our gift sets come in wooden/bamboo trays or seagrass baskets which are reusable and handy. Our gift cards are made of paper with a recyclable kraft envelope. The dried herbs we use as gift wrapping decor can be used in teas or as home decor. We are also talking about the subject with our suppliers so that they can package our items with less plastic.

DELIVERIES:

We are happy to work with Fietskoeriers, which is the most sustainable shipping option available in the Netherlands. Their concept is to use bicycle couriers, instead of cars, for deliveries. By doing so, CO2 emissions can be reduced by up to 60%. They have bicycle couriers in 30 cities in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, they don’t have couriers in all cities (yet). In such a case, they will partner up with DHL. By working together, they’ll make sure to have fuller delivery trucks. Fewer trucks on the streets equal less CO2 emission as well.

The bicycle courier collects the packages from us daily and they strive to deliver all packages in the Netherlands within 24 hours. They deliver the packages from Tuesday to Friday between 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM. In case you’re not at home, they will deliver the package to your neighbors. If that’s not possible, they will try to deliver max. 3 times before the package makes its way back to us.
